Corporate Mentor Volunteers needed in Worksop

Updated: Sep 24

Could you volunteer an hour per month to help a young person get ahead in their career?

IAF is thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for individuals in the Worksop area to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in their community. We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our Corporate Mentoring Scheme where you will be dedicating just one hour a month to meet with a young person who is on the cusp of securing their first job. Your guidance and support will be instrumental in helping them navigate the often daunting transition into employment. Whether it's offering advice on CV writing, preparing for interviews, or sharing insights from your own career journey, your involvement can make a world of difference.

IAF understands that mentoring can seem like a big responsibility, which is why we provide full training to all our volunteers. You don't need any prior experience—just a willingness to listen, encourage, and share your knowledge. Our training ensures that you feel confident and equipped to provide meaningful support to your mentee but this initiative is more than just a volunteering opportunity; it’s a chance to shape the future of our community. By giving just one hour a month, you can help a young person gain the skills, confidence, and motivation they need to succeed in the workplace.

We urge professionals and retirees alike in Worksop to consider becoming a mentor. Your contribution could be the key to unlocking a brighter future for a young person so please contact Edina, IAF's Mentoring Manager, on 07805 787428 to learn more about the role or download our job pack.
