Open day planned for new Mansfield alternative provision

Plans have just been announced for The Inspire and Achieve Foundation’s first open day event at its alternative provision, Achievement Unlocked. The event, which promises families the opportunity to experience a fresh new educational approach, is designed to ensure young people aged 16+ with an EHCP can make informed decisions around the future of their education.

A one size fits all approach leaves many young people with special educational needs and disabilities on the fringes of their education and we’ve met with many young people at risk of slipping through the gaps simply because their EHCP is outdated or their needs fall between the scope of mainstream and specialist schools” said Alternative Provision Manager, Jaye Crew. “Here at Achievement Unlocked, we’re able to work flexibly with these young people and their parents/carers to offer programmes truly tailored to the individual, whilst also maintaining vital access to functional skills qualifications

The project based out of The Inspire and Achieve Foundation Hub on Yorke Street is Mansfield's latest alternative provision to be quality checked by Nottinghamshire County Council and is currently accepting new referrals to its small part-time classes. “Young people with an EHCP are entitled to access high quality educational settings up to age 25 years and we strongly encourage anyone who is struggling to access their learning to come along and find out more about us at this upcoming event” said Pippa Carter, Director of The Inspire and Achieve Foundation. “We have an incredible team of experienced staff who are so passionate about helping young people to succeed and our learners all reap the rewards of having a fantastic youth hub onsite providing free extra-curricular activities and support”.

One to one tours and opportunities to meet the teaching staff at Achievement Unlocked are always available so if you can’t make the event on the 24th January, please reach out to us and we can make alternative arrangements for visits. A full copy of our prospectus and further information can be found on our website www.AchievementUnlockedAP.co.uk or you can call 01623 613906 for more details.
