At Inspire and Achieve Foundation, the safety and wellbeing of the young people we work with is our highest priority. We are fully committed to creating an environment where every young person feels safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding refers to the measures and processes we put in place to protect the health, wellbeing, and human rights of children and young people, ensuring they live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. Under the Children Act 2004, all organisations and individuals working with young people have a legal and moral duty to help safeguard and promote their welfare. As we work with young people aged 16–24, many of whom face significant barriers to education, employment, or training,, we are dedicated to protecting them from risks both within and beyond our programmes. IAF takes this responsibility very seriously and creates safe, inclusive spaces where all young people feel heard, respected, and can reach their full potential.

What is Prevent?

The Prevent strategy is part of the UK’s wider counter-terrorism approach known as CONTEST. Its aim is to stop people from becoming involved in terrorism or supporting extremist ideologies.

The three key objectives of Prevent are to:

  • Tackle the ideological causes of terrorism.

  • Intervene early to support individuals vulnerable to radicalisation.

  • Enable those already engaged in terrorism to disengage and rehabilitate.

At Inspire and Achieve Foundation, we work to spot the signs of radicalisation early and offer appropriate support and referrals to safeguard young people and help them make positive life choices.
