Connecting young people with support

The Hub, at 159 Yorke Street, opened in October 2025 and is the new home of The Inspire and Achieve Foundation. After many years of operating out of community venues, we wanted to unite all of our services under one roof to give NEET young people a dedicated space where they relax, develop new skills and access support.

Creating the hub was truly a team effort and from the moment we first discussed this idea with our youth board, we've seen unwavering support from the young people we work with and our community partners. Because young people have been at the heart of this space from day one, it includes everything you could want and need under one roof; console gaming and social areas, pool tables, a life skills kitchen, enclosed garden, workshop areas, sensory rooms and employability lounge. We are also now officially partnered with Mansfield DWP who run their youth appointments from our setting, and proudly work with other local service providers to empower young people with wider circles of support.

Accessibility statement:

The Hub on Yorke Street is split across two floors with most youth facing services accessible via the ground floor and IAF staff offices located upstairs. The site is equipped with accessible and gender neutral toilets, shower facilities and baby changing table. Young people accessing the hub can make full use of their own kitchen area to make tea and coffee and access free basic food supplies such as breakfast cereals, bread, squash, teas and coffee etc. Other snacks may be purchased from our tuck shop on-site - please speak to reception.

Many of our service users have learning difficulties and poor mental health so there are a range of high and low sensory spaces and breakout areas across the site. Sensory aids such as fidget toys and noise cancelling headphones are also readily available and free to access. We are also proud to have a registered Pets as Therapy dog, Boomer, on site to help those struggling with anxiety.

Please note, we are currently applying for funding to install a lift within the youth hub which will connect areas of the venue for wheelchair use. Visitors should also be aware that for the safety and security of our young people and staff, some doors across the site are accessible via key card only. If you have not visited the site before, please press the intercom on the main door and a member of the team will assist you.
