We are thrilled to announce that IAF has been awarded a £6,000 grant from Nottinghamshire County Council's Public Health team as part of their Suicide Prevention & Mental Wellbeing strategy. This funding will allow us to provide vital wrap-around support for young people experiencing severe anxiety and other mental health conditions, ensuring they can fully engage with the opportunities offered through The King’s Trust Team programme.
Team programme provides an incredible platform for personal development, but for many young people, mental health struggles act as a barrier to participation and we are acutely aware of the challenges our service users face. With 80% battling poor mental health and 77% coming from areas ranked 1-3 in the IMD health and disability deciles, the need for comprehensive, accessible support has never been greater. This grant will enable us to bridge the gap, offering tailored interventions that empower young people to build confidence, develop essential skills, and take positive steps toward their future. Through this funding, we can ensure that those who need extra support receive it, allowing them to make the most of this life-changing opportunity.
IAF would like to thank Nottinghamshire County Council’s Public Health team for recognising the importance of this work and ensuring our young people have access to this fantastic provision.
If you or someone you know could benefit from our support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
