The Inspire and Achieve Foundation (IAF) is proud to mark a decade of partnership with The King’s Trust, celebrating 10 years of transformative support for young people across Nottinghamshire. Since the partnership began, IAF has supported over a thousand young people to overcome challenging circumstances and transition into employment, education, or training with new-found skills and confidence.
To commemorate this milestone, Jonathan Townsend, UK Chief Executive of The King’s Trust, visited IAF to meet young people taking part in the 12-week Team programme. The visit showcased the positive impact of the programme, which offers unemployed young people the opportunity to develop confidence, employability skills, and practical experience through community projects, work placements, and team challenges. “Before Team, life meant nothing to me. I felt like I didn’t have a purpose.” shared one participant. Another added “I couldn’t thank you IAF enough for the opportunities I have been given.”
Since 2015, IAF’s collaboration with The King’s Trust has provided vital support to young people facing complex personal barriers, including care leavers, young offenders, and those struggling with mental health or educational challenges. “Reaching 10 years in partnership with The King’s Trust is a huge achievement, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together during this time” said Pippa Carter, Director of The Inspire and Achieve Foundation, “This anniversary is a celebration of the resilience and success of the young people we support and we look forward to continuing our work with The King’s Trust, so that even more young people realise their potential in the years ahead”.
